Nestled in the green Ozark hills on 37 acres just outside of Rogersville, Missouri, is a hidden gem – CreedsTown Wedding and Event Venue. The land that CreedsTown sits on has been in Keith & Melissa’s family for over 100 years. Keith & Melissa Jean began building this beautiful tranquil spot in 2010. Keith built the entire ‘town.’ He cleared the land for the chapel area, making sure to leave trees that provide a lovely canopy for beauty and shade. He also built all of the buildings – the Palace Gathering Place (perfect for receptions), the Mercantile, which includes the Tailor Shop (for the guys to get ready) and the Dress Shop (for the girls).
He dozed down cedar trees to make the rough sawed cedar log benches in the outdoor chapel. The entire ‘town’ is beautifully landscaped with many plants native to the Ozarks. Lots of pieces of memorabilia are placed throughout the landscape to create perfect vignettes for wedding photos. Melissa always makes sure that CreedsTown is decorated appropriately for the different seasons. Fall is fast approaching and the mums, pumpkins, and corn stalks will be making their appearance.
The first wedding was held at CreedsTown in 2011 and many more have followed as couples start their new chapter as husband and wife in this beautiful little town. Melissa is always on hand to help with anything the couple needs and even has an array of items that couples can use for their wedding decorations, such as wood-cut slabs for centerpieces and table squares and table runners. She’s even there the day of the wedding so if the bride or groom need anything, she can take care of it.
Couples that choose CreedsTown as the place for their wedding day don’t just choose this as a venue for their wedding – they become part of the continuing story of CreedsTown and are forever a part of the CreedsTown family.
